Hukkok, Tower of Babel Mosaic
This depiction of the building of the tower of Babel contains two portraits of black men participating in the building. While that in itself is not historical, this demonstrates that the artists at the Hukkok synagogue knew how to portray black or brown-skinned people in their art, and that they were not averse to such depictions. But they never portrayed any of their own Judaeans as having been black or brown. They only painted themselves or their ancestors as having been White.
