This is not the pseudepigraphal book known as 2 Esdras. Rather, 2 Esdras consists of what are commonly known as the books of Ezra and Nehemiah in the English versions based on the Masoretic Text.
The portion attributed to Nehemiah begins in Chapter 11. We believe it is an early Hellenistic period error to date Nehemiah to a time after that of Ezra.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14
